There are so many different people in this world. Some nice, some not so nice, some sociable, some not, some tall, some short and so on. So far, we have met a few nice people, but for the most part, here in the park, people don’t really bother or invade each others privacy. The sites are very generous here at Red River State Park/Sherlock Campground and you do have your privacy. Eight miles or more of bike paths that are gorgeous. The Red River is like chocolate milk, but the sound is still nice to hear. You can catch Catfish here in the river, but haven’t tried it yet. Michigan waters sure do spoil you.
We are very vulnerable to the weather here. We have made it through 3 severe thunderstorms with hail, torrential rains, and high winds of up to 60-70 mph wind gusts. Thank you Heavenly Father! Before you go to bed you check the weather… (no threatening weather) but by 4am you awake to a horrible noise outside. Oh NO! The awning. Where did this storm come from?!?! Learned our lesson extremely fast…. pretend that every night, there will be a storm because a 20′ awning catches a lot of wind. BTW… the awning is fine. One more minute though and it could’ve been destroyed.
It so much fun watching all the families here in the park. Knowing that kids everywhere can get a taste of country here in the city. We are only approximately 1 – 1 1/2 hours away from Canada and there are several families and/or couples that come here for vacation. We have even met fellow followers of Christ Jesus. So nice to bump into them here in the park. It doesn’t matter what part of the world you are from or what church you come from, when you have Jesus in your life, you have so much in common with each other. As Ephesians 5:1-2 KJV says: 1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Yesterday was in the 90’s and today is s’pose to be mid 80’s. I do have a tan for sure. Avery loves being outside always. She loves taking naps outside, walks, bike rides, etc. I can picture her fishing soon with daddy. She is definitely a little outdoor kinda gal. 🙂 We all love being outside too, as long as its under 85 degrees. LOL!
Well, it’s time to start the day, the rain has stopped (I think). Have a blessed day everyone and keep your dreams alive.
