UP4014 Steam Engine

Waiting….

August 2013 the Union Pacific started to restore the UP4014 Big Boy and it took approximately 2 years. Well, today we were blessed enough to be able to see it in Benson, AZ. You will need to look up all the YouTube videos and write ups about it, it is one of many restored back to steam. This is a piece of history we can share with our grands and great-grands. How amazing it is…

Here comes UP4014
Absolutely Magnificent!
The Sound of a Steam Engine

There’s no better sound than an old steam engine. None of the new trains can ever duplicate its sound. One of a kind.

  1. Evie, your photography is excellent! Thank you for sharing your adventure today. I’m glad I got to hear it for myself from John’s video recording. I know it does not do it justice and hearing it in person is the best. But…not bad from the East Coast!
